GUIDELINES FOR VOLUNTEERING VIA RUSSEGRUPPE
As the contact person for your russegruppe, you must read and confirm that you understand these guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring that all group members receive the necessary information. You will also receive details via email regarding tasks, dress code, attendance, and other important matters, which you must share with your group.
Work and Attendance
- Follow instructions from your supervisor.
- Everyone must check in and out at the beginning and end of each shift.
- You must be sober and present throughout your entire shift for your work to be approved.
- Breaks will be organized by the supervisor.
- You are not allowed inside the festival area outside of your assigned working hours.
Food and Drinks
- Coffee, water, fruit, and snacks will be provided during your shift.
- Additionally, you will receive a hot meal at the festival’s catering area.
- 75 NOK per person per shift will be deducted from wages for this meal.
Transport and Accommodation
- Tons of Rock does not cover travel or accommodation expenses.
Clothing
- You must wear the t-shirt provided during your shift.
- After your shift, you may either take the t-shirt home or return it at check-in if you do not wish to keep it.
Alcohol and Drugs
- You must be sober while on duty.
- Alcohol and other intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited before and during shifts.
- Violation of this rule will result in immediate dismissal without payment and the loss of the right to continue working.
Changes to Tasks and Work Hours
- Tasks and schedules may be subject to change.
- If major changes occur, the russegruppe contact person will be notified via email.
- Workers must be prepared to take on other tasks as needed.
Payment
- Payment is based on the actual number of hours worked.
- After the festival, the russegruppe will receive an overview of hours worked and the total amount to be paid out.
- Payment will be made to a single shared account for the russegruppe.
- Wages will be reported as income for each individual based on hours worked. This may affect each person's tax-free allowance/tax card.
Absence
- If someone is unable to attend their shift, the russegruppe must find a replacement.
- Notify the festival as early as possible.
Working Hours and Agreements
- Working hours agreed upon in writing between the russegruppe and the festival are binding, just like the hours stated in the contract.
Press and Confidential Information
- It is strictly forbidden to speak on behalf of the festival.
- If you receive inquiries from the police, fire department, licensing authorities, media, or similar, you must refer them to the festival’s press officer:
