HOW TO GET TO THE FESTIVAL
TO TONS OF ROCK AT EKEBERGSLETTA
Familiarize yourself with the opportunities you have to get up to Ekebergsletta. Plan ahead and allow plenty of time for transportation to the festival. Read the following information to consider OUR DIFFERENT transport options. Download the Ruter app, it only costs one Ruter ticket to get up to Ekebergsletta.
TRAVEL TO TONS OF ROCK
SHUTTLEBUS / FESTIVALBUS
A shuttle bus will run from central Oslo directly to Ekebergsletta. We recommend taking the shuttle bus instead of the regular city buses. While Bus 34 is an option, it has limited capacity.
TRAM
The tram stop is Sportsplassen (Trams 13 and 19). You will see road signs from Sportsplassen to the festival. Tram 13 stop from the city center is Dronningens gate and Bjørvika. Tram 19 stops from the city center are Jernbanetorget and Bjørvika.
SUBWAY
Take the subway to Ryen (lines 1 and 4). Walking from Ryen takes about 20 minutes.
WALK TO THE FESTIVAL
If you like to walk, we recommend taking your legs. It is easy to walk via the old town and up to the festival area. Its' a bit hilly, but it's a lovely walk. Approx walking time 30-40 min.
HOME FROM TONS OF ROCK
SHUTTLEBUS / FESTIVALBUS
This year's shuttle bus leaves from the main entrance to Tons of Rock, and the bus takes you directly to Oslo City Center.
TRAM
The tram stop is Sportsplassen (Trams 13 and 19). You will find signs that point you to the stop Sportsplassen.
SUBWAY
Take the subway to Ryen (line 4). Walking from Ryen takes about 20 minutes. There is also a taxi stand at Ryen.
WALK FROM THE FESTIVAL
We recommend taking the walk down to Oslo city center. The trail starts near Stage 2 (Vampire Stage) and follows a well-lit path through the woods, leading straight to the Old Town.
BACK AND FORTH FROM FESTIVALCAMP BJERKE
There will be several options from Festivalcamp Bjerke to Tons of Rock at Ekebergsletta.
Alternative: Festivalbus
In addition to Ruter buses, a separate shuttle bus will run directly from Bjerke to Ekeberg for overnight guests staying at Festivalcamp Bjerke.

TRAVEL TO OSLO
PLANE:
Tons of Rock takes place in Oslo and the nearest airport is Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen. You can catch the Flytoget airport express, which departs every 10 minutes and takes 22 minutes. A cheaper alternative is the local train, departing every 20-30 minutes from platform 4 (RE10 towards Drammen or Asker, R11 towards Skien, or R12 towards Kongsberg). The local train is almost as fast as Flytoget.

Tons of Rock does not have parking spaces available for our festival participants and it will therefore not be possible to park at the festival area. We encourage everyone to use public transport.
